With Daniel Craig, we saw the human side of bond. We saw the recklessesness and indecision and we saw that when he was tortured it actually hurt. He didn't just take it, then walk away like some sort of super hero that is never affected. Plus, I've always enjoyed Craig in his "character" roles in all types of other movies.
