I am over the pity party about our rotten couple of days and about nobody noticing my new hairdo. Today someone finally commented on my hair. So, I no longer feel like the time and money spent were not wasted.

Today, I took the Acteens and Challengers to Lubbock to see the movie “End of the Spear.” This is a fantastic movie! It is based on a true story about a group of missionaries who were speared by the Waodoni tribe in Ecuador. Then, through the efforts of the families of these missionaries, the Waodoni are able to break the cycle of revenge and violence. The son of one of the missionaries forgives the natives that took his father’s life, and forms a lasting friendship with them. This movie was so well done. I would not recommend it for young children as it is quite gory at some points, and it is correctly rated PG-13. If you have a heart for missions, this is a must-see.
